FAQ

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, I love traveling for weddings! I’m willing to photograph weddings anywhere within the United States. Travel fees may apply depending on the location. Feel free to reach out with your wedding location, and I can provide a custom quote!

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! To reserve your wedding date, a 25% retainer is due at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due two weeks before your wedding day.

If it’s more convenient, you’re welcome to make smaller payments toward your balance at any time leading up to your wedding instead of paying the remaining amount all at once. Many couples choose this option to spread things out a bit, and I’m always happy to accommodate what works best for you!

I'm not interested in an engagement session. Can I apply the complimentary session as a discount on my package instead?

If the package you’re interested in includes a complimentary engagement session, I’m not able to offer a discount in place of it. The engagement session is included at no extra cost and does not increase the price of your package.

If you prefer not to do an engagement session before your wedding, you’re welcome to use it at a later date. Many couples choose to use it as an anniversary session. This allows you to capture memories in a way that works best for you.

Do you offer albums?

Yes! I am happy to create a beautiful, custom, professional heirloom-quality album for you. Each album is thoughtfully designed to showcase your favorite images and tell the story of your wedding day in a way that you and your family will treasure for years to come.

How can we order prints?

You are welcome to download your images and order prints from anywhere you like. For added convenience, you can also order professional prints, and wall art directly through your online gallery, making it easy to get beautiful, gallery-quality products without any extra steps.

Do I get the copyright/print release?

I retain the copyright to all images, which is standard for professional photography. However, you receive a full personal use license that allows you to download, print, and share your images freely for personal use, with no limits. The images may not be altered or sold without written permission.

Do you retouch the pictures?

Yes! Every image you receive is thoughtfully edited for color, exposure, and overall consistency to reflect my signature style. I don’t offer heavy or extensive retouching (like altering body shape or facial features), as I believe in preserving natural beauty and authentic moments. My goal is for your photos to feel timeless, true-to-life, and genuinely you. If you have a specific request, please feel free to ask!

When will I receive my images?

You’ll receive a sneak peek gallery within 48 hours after your wedding day, and your full gallery will be delivered within 12 weeks.

Do you deliver RAW/unedited images?

No, I do not deliver RAW images. RAW files are unedited and unfinished, and a big part of my work is carefully editing each image to reflect my style and ensure a consistent, polished final gallery. You will receive fully edited, high-resolution images that are ready to download, share, and print.

Do you have backup equipment?

Yes! I always come prepared with backup equipment to ensure your wedding day is captured without interruption. This includes extra cameras, lenses, and flashes.

In addition, I always shoot on dual SD cards, so every photo is automatically backed up as it’s taken. This way, you can feel confident that your memories are safe and secure no matter what happens on the day.

How can you help us feel comfortable in front of the camera?

I completely understand that being in front of the camera can feel a little nerve racking, and you are not alone in that. My approach is very relaxed and guided, so you will never be left wondering what to do with your hands or how to pose. I gently direct you with natural prompts and movements that help you interact with each other, rather than focusing on stiff posing. This allows your connection and personality to come through in a genuine way. Most importantly, I create a calm and encouraging environment where you can just be yourselves.

What happens if the weather is unfavorable?

Weather is something we can’t control, but don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! I always keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to your day and will work with you to create a flexible plan if needed. If the weather is less than ideal, we can adjust timelines, utilize covered or indoor locations, or embrace the conditions for some beautifully unique and romantic moments (some of the most magical photos happen in unexpected weather!). My priority is making sure you feel comfortable and confident, no matter what the forecast brings.

Do you help with Timeline Planning?

Yes! I’m happy to help with timeline planning to ensure your day flows smoothly and allows plenty of time for all the moments that matter most.

I’ll work with you to create a photography-friendly timeline that feels relaxed, intentional, and true to your priorities, whether that’s building in time for golden hour portraits, a stress-free getting ready experience, first look, or making sure you can fully enjoy your day without feeling rushed.

How do you handle family photos?

I handle family photos with a plan to keep things organized, efficient, and stress-free. Before your wedding day, I work with you to create a list of the must-have groupings so we know exactly who should be in each shot.

On the day of the wedding, I or my second-photographer guide everyone into place quickly and clearly. It’s also helpful if you designate a friend or family member who is familiar with everyone to help me gather each group, so things flow smoothly. My goal is to capture all the important family moments without taking up more time than necessary.

What should we wear for our engagement session?

Great question! What you wear can make a big difference in how your photos feel. I always recommend choosing outfits that complement each other rather than match exactly. Neutral tones, soft colors, and timeless pieces tend to photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your connection. Avoid busy patterns, large logos, or anything overly trendy that might feel dated later on. Flowy dresses, layers, and textures can add nice movement and dimension to your photos. Most importantly, wear something you feel confident and comfortable in. I am always happy to help you plan outfits or review options ahead of time so everything comes together seamlessly.

Do I need a second photographer?

A second photographer lets us capture more of your day as it happens. We are able to be in two places at once, which allows us to capture different angles, reactions, and details. It keeps things flowing smoothly and gives you a fuller, more dynamic gallery without missing any of the moments that matter.

My package doesn't include a second photographer. Can I add one?

Yes! While some of my packages don’t automatically include a second photographer, you can add one for $150 per hour. Having a second shooter will give you a fuller gallery of your wedding day.

How far in advance should we book?

I recommend booking as early as possible to secure your wedding date, especially if your wedding is during a popular season. Many couples book 9-18 months in advance, but I’m happy to discuss availability even if your date is sooner.

Booking early ensures we have plenty of time to plan, collaborate on your vision, and make your wedding photography experience as smooth and stress-free as possible.
