*Before your proposal, I'll evaluate the location and come up with the best plan to stay unnoticed, whether that means blending in as another visitor, photographing the scenery, finding a discreet hiding spot, or using another creative approach based on the location. One of the biggest concerns I hear from clients is, "What if she sees you?"

 

Don't worry. I've gotten pretty creative over the years.


I've photographed proposals while hiding behind cars, crouching in a ditch, pretending to photograph scenery or a vineyard, walking an empty stroller through a park, reading a book on a bench, and even coordinating "decoy" couples to keep the surprise alive.


Whatever the location calls for, I'll come up with a plan to blend in naturally so the focus stays exactly where it belongs.

FAQ

Will I get to select the photos that I want from my session?

Yes, if you have selected the Proposal Essentials collection. After your session, you’ll receive a private, watermarked proof gallery where you can choose your favorite images, based on the number included in your selected package. Once you’ve made your selections, I’ll professionally edit your chosen images and deliver your final, downloadable gallery when they’re ready.


If you have selected the Complete Story collection, you won't receive an unedited proof gallery to select your favorite images because every successful image from the session will be edited and delivered to you for download.

Do I get the copyright/print release?

I retain the copyright to all images, which is standard for professional photography. However, you receive a full personal use license that allows you to download, print, and share your images freely for personal use, with no limits. The only restriction is that the images may not be altered, sold, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.

What if it rains?

If rain is in the forecast, we'll talk through your options. Depending on your plans and flexibility, we can adjust the timing, choose a covered location, or reschedule if needed. But if you're open to embracing the weather, a rainy proposal could be incredibly romantic and make for some truly unique and unforgettable photos.

What if I'm nervous I'll mess something up?

That's completely normal. Almost everyone I work with before a proposal tells me they're nervous. I'll guide you through the plan ahead of time so you know exactly where to go, when to arrive, and what to expect. Once the moment comes, all you have to do is focus on your partner. I'll take care of the rest.

Can family or friends be there?

Absolutely! Whether they're hiding nearby for a surprise celebration or joining us afterward for photos, I'm happy to help coordinate the timing.

What if we're running late?

Proposal days don't always go exactly as planned. I'll do my best to build flexibility into our timeline and ask that you keep me updated by text if anything changes.

What happens after the proposal?

Once you've had a few minutes to celebrate together, we'll transition into a relaxed engagement session while you're still riding the excitement of the moment.

How do you stay hidden?

Every proposal is different, so I'll come up with a plan based on your location. Whether that means blending in as another visitor, photographing the scenery, or finding a discreet hiding spot, my goal is to capture the moment without giving away the surprise.

What if I don't know where to propose?

If you haven't chosen a location yet, I'm happy to recommend spots based on the type of scenery you're looking for, the time of day, and the level of privacy you'd like.

Can I have the raw/unedited files from the session?

RAW/unedited files are not included or available for purchase. They are unfinished files that require professional editing to reflect my style and the quality of work you see throughout my portfolio. Every image you receive is carefully hand-edited to ensure your final gallery is polished, cohesive, and ready to enjoy.
